WHAT SEXUAL-HEALTH SERVICES ARE OFFERED?
Private, discreet care for everyone, regardless of sex, gender, sexuality or lifestyle.
STI/STD Testing & Treatment
Full STI screens check for HIV, hepatitis B, syphilis, chlamydia and gonorrhoea, with results within 7 working days. Herpes can be assessed separately through a visual examination. Dr Liam will discuss treatment options for positive results.
HIV Prevention Services
HIV can be prevented with measures such as testing and medication like PrEP. Nassau Clinic also offers rapid HIV testing, with results delivered directly to your mobile phone via SMS in just 30 minutes.
PrEP and DoxyPEP
PrEP is a medication that helps prevent HIV, and we check your kidney function and hepatitis B status before you start. We also offer DoxyPEP, which can reduce the risk of some bacterial STIs.
Vaccines
Hepatitis A and B vaccinations, with a combined vaccine option available. HPV vaccination requires two doses. Your full vaccination schedule will be explained during your visit.
If you need further care, our doctors will explain your treatment options or refer you to a specialist clinic.
Your comfort matters to us. If you’d like a chaperone during an intimate examination, just let us know before your appointment.

Q4. Is my sexual health GP consultation covered by insurance?
Nassau Clinic is a private clinic and consultations are paid for at the time of your visit. You may be able to claim reimbursement through your private health insurer, but the amount covered will depend on your provider and the terms of your policy. We recommend checking with your insurer before attending.
Q5. What should I do whilst waiting for the results?
Waiting for results can certainly be an anxious time, and we understand. Whilst you wait, please avoid any sexual activity to prevent potential transmission or re-exposure. We'll contact you promptly once your results are ready. If you're feeling worried or have new symptoms, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

We’ll guide you through treatment options and notify partners anonymously if you wish us to do so.
Q7. Will the test go on my HSE record?
We understand your privacy concern. Tests at private clinics like Nassau Clinic generally do not automatically go onto your HSE medical record. We keep private, confidential files.
However, for notifiable infectious diseases, we are legally required to report anonymous data to the HPSC for public health, which isn't linked to your personal HSE file. We will always seek your consent before sharing any information with your HSE GP or other services.
